Mission statement

Our mission is to work towards the goal of sustainable mobility by bringing Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) into the mainstream of integrated transport and road network management.

Sustainable Mobility: means the movement of people, freight and goods in an efficient and equitable manner to satisfy economic, environmental and social needs, while at the same time minimising avoidable impacts both now and in the future.

Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS): are deployed to enhance transport operations and to achieve key transport policy goals. ITS makes use of information technology, mobile communications, TV and digital camera technology, road sensors and global positioning satellites.
